The Maltby MTF True Forged irons are forged from a raw billet of 1035 carbon steel using an exhaustive 5 step forging process. This process shapes the smooth cavity design and distributes the weight properly without the need for additional machining. This special forging process gives the MTF irons a strong and dense grain structure.
Better players will find the blade profile appearance to be very traditional and the feel to be exceptionally solid thanks to its Super Game Improvement rating (in the Maltby Playability Factor for irons). The Maltby MTF True Forged iron is one of the highest playability forged cavity back, blade profile irons available.
- Five step true forging process provides unparalleled quality and feel
- 1035 carbon steel provides soft feel and adjustability
- Cavity back design concentrates weight around the perimeter and low, yielding a very forgiving “players” club (Super Game Improvement category of the Maltby Playability Factor for irons)
- Blade profile will appeal to traditionalists
- Blended leading and trailing edges of the sole will not snag turf
- CNC milled M-grooves provide the best of V and U grooves for consistent spin control
- Universal hosel accepts .355" taper and .370" parallel tip shafts offering a broader selection of shafts for custom fitting
- Constant .100" offset throughout set
